Tembotrione, the active chemical component in Prakaram, inhibits the activity of 4HPPD (4-HYDROXY-PHENYL-PYRUVATE-DEOXYGENASE) enzyme. The formation of carotenoids (Plant pigment) is disrupted by the inhibition of the 4HPPD enzyme. The Depletion of the carotenoids deprives chlorophyll (Main site for photosynthesis) which gives protection against an overdose/excess of light (Red Drop effect) which ultimately caused the chlorophyll bleaching, causing removal of unwanted growth. Tembotrione 34.4% w/w SC Broad-Spectrum Post-Emergence Herbicide with Surfactant for Broad Leaf and Grassy Weed Control in Corn.
PRAKRAM is a broad-spectrum post-emergence herbicide that is advised for use in conjunction with a surfactant to suppress grassy and broadleaf weeds in maize: Tambourine, the active ingredient in PRAKRAM.
The use of isoxadifen, a proprietary softener developed by HPM Organics, protects corn from herbicide stress and increases crop tolerance, even in extremely difficult corn growing conditions.
Advantages
- Consistent Performance.
- Broad Action
- It has little Residue
- Early to late post-emergence application
- Rains fast work fast
Mode of Action
The active ingredient in PRAKRAM, tembotrione inhibits the four hydroxy-phenylpyruvate-dexygenase (4 HPPD) enzymes. The inhibition of the enzyme prevents the production of carotenoids, which are plant pigments. Depletion of carotenoids deprives chlorophyll, where photosynthesis occurs, of its defence against an excess of light, causing chlorophyll bleaching.
Within a few days of treatment, the complete weed-control effect of PRAKRAM activity is evident, and its symptoms manifest quickly.
