DESCRIPTION
Azoxystrobin:- It is used as a fungicide. It is a broad spectrum systemic active ingredient widely used in agriculture to protect crops from fungal diseases.
Mancozeb:-It is a broad spectrum protectant fungicide for the control of a wide range of diseases in agricultural, horticultural and ornamental crops.
Mode of action
Azoxystrobin is a systemic fungicide that is adsorbed quickly by the roots and translocated through the xylem to the stems and leaves, or through leaf surface to the leaf tips and growing edges. It inhibits spore germination, mycelial growth, and the spore production of fungi. Mancozeb:-Broad spectrum, non-systemic fungicide with protective action.
Applications
Azoxystrobin:-Pluton is a contact as well as systemic broadspectrum fungicide with protective action. Pluton is recommended to be applied at early appearance of disease or prophylactically. Pluton gives broad spectrum control on targeted diseases, with right application time.
Mancozeb:-It controls much fungal disease in a wide range of field crops, fruits, nuts, vegetables, ornamentals.
It used for foliar application or as a seed treatment.
It provides nutrients-Manganese and zinc as micro nutrients.
Most frequent uses include control of early and late blights.

TOXICITY DATA
Mammalian Toxicity
:
Azoxystrobin is of low acute and chronic toxicity to humans, birds, mammals, and bees but is highly toxic to freshwater fish, freshwater invertebrates, and estuarine/marine fish, and very highly toxic to estuarine/marine invertebrates
Mancozeb:-WHO (a.i.) U; Unlikely to present acute hazard
Environmental Toxicity
:
Azoxytrobin:-Azoxystrobin's production may result in its release to the environment through various waste streams; its use as a fungicide(1) will result in its direct release to the environment(SRC). Mancozeb:-Mancozeb breaks down rapidly in soil sediment and water, terminal metabolites are natural products and with mineralisation to carbon dioxide. It does not bioaccumulation. It is non toxic for mallard ducks, Japanese quail, English sparrows, European starlings.it is non toxic for rainbow trout, bluegill sunfish, and fathead minnows.it is non toxic for bees. It is not toxic for worms.Mancozeb is of low toxicity to the majority of non-target and beneficial arthropods.
