DESCRIPTION
Captan is broad spectrum fungicide belonging to the phthalimide group. It works by inhibiting respiration of numerous species of fungi and bacteria. Also blocks the ability of fungus to produce energy.

Itis very highly toxic to fish bluegill sunfish, harlequin fish, and brook trout.Honeybees are quite susceptible to low concentrations of Captan. Moderately toxic to aquatic invertebrates.
